Answers to the common questions about Integrate UK and what we do.

1. What is Integrate?

Integrate is a youth-led charity that empowers young people to lead on issues that matter to them, from gender and racial equality to social justice and community cohesion. We provide a platform for young people to create change through education, media, training and advocacy.

2. Are you a support service or helpline?

No, we are not a support or crisis service and do not operate a helpline. However, we do signpost to trusted support services and work closely with professionals who can provide specialist care. If you are in immediate need, we recommend contacting organisations such as Childline (0800 1111), dialling 999 for emergencies, or reaching out to your local safeguarding teams.

3. Do I have to live in Bristol to take part?

Not at all. While our base is in Bristol, our work reaches across the UK. We deliver online and in-person workshops, campaigns and youth programmes that are accessed by young people nationwide. We regularly travel to schools and events across the country.

4. Do I have to be a member to participate?

No membership is required. We welcome any young person aged 11–25 who wants to get involved, whether that’s joining a workshop, contributing to a project, or participating in a campaign. We provide full training and ongoing support.

5. What kind of support do you offer young people?

We offer mentoring, skills development, creative opportunities and spaces for young people to grow in confidence and leadership. While we don’t provide therapeutic support, safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusive practice are at the heart of everything we do.

6. How can young people join your projects?

Young people can join through schools, youth groups or by contacting us directly. We hold open calls for new participants throughout the year and offer progression routes into peer education, campaigning, public speaking and leadership roles. 7. Do you work in schools or communities? Both. We run programmes in schools, colleges and community settings, delivering peer-led workshops and campaigns on topics such as gender-based violence, racism and youth empowerment. We also work with teachers, youth workers, and health and social care professionals to embed inclusive practices.

7. Can schools or organisations book you?

Yes. We offer school workshops, staff training, speaking engagements and project collaborations. To book or enquire, visit our Contact Us page or email us at info@integrateuk.org.

8. What types of resources do you offer?

Our youth-led team has created award-winning films, lesson plans, toolkits and campaign materials – all designed to tackle complex issues with creativity and care. These are available to educators, youth workers and organisations, and much of our content is also accessible via our social media channels.

9. How are you funded and how can I support you?

We are funded through grants, commissions, donations and partnerships. You can support us by donating, collaborating, commissioning workshops or sharing our content. Every contribution helps amplify the voices of young changemakers.
