About the project: Youth Conference 2024

Held at the Bristol Aquarium, our 2024 Youth Conference brought together students, teachers, government representatives and safeguarding specialists for a powerful day of performance, discussion and youth-led storytelling.

The event featured the premiere of Theatre Boy, a film made by young people tackling the national crisis of knife crime. Alongside screenings and speeches, the conference included creative workshops and awards recognising youth leadership. The day marked the launch of several new campaigns and opened vital conversations about safety, equity and reform, led by the people most affected.

In the months that followed, the films and ideas launched at the conference were used in classrooms, policy spaces and training sessions across the country. Young people continued conversations with attendees, building networks and shaping next steps.
