Our 2016 youth led conference was a huge success!

What happened at the Conference?
Inviting young people, teachers, professionals working with children, and anyone interested in ending gender based violence, FGM, and grooming for child sexual exploitation and radicalisation.
Our young people will be demonstrating the media based educational resources they have made in a series of workshops. FGM safeguarding training, a workshop around difficult conversations and other sessions will also be on offer.

The conference aims to:
- Introduce our new resources around grooming for child sexual exploitation and radicalisation.
- Show how easy it is to engage in positive and empowering discussion around
- challenging issues.
- Empower teachers and any other professionals working with young people, to
- introduce education and awareness raising in schools, youth groups or similar settings.
- Ensure those responsible for safeguarding are aware of recent changes to the
- law in terms of mandatory reporting.
- Highlight the importance of addressing these issues in schools.
- Improve professionals’ confidence in terms of how to respond appropriately to
- disclosures and engage in difficult conversations.
Workshops:
Delegates can sign up to three workshops on the day. Integrate Bristol 2016 workshops
In addition to leading most of the workshops, the young people will be making speeches and giving a variety of short performances and there will be a short panel discussion at the end of the day.

Lunch and refreshments are provided. Please arrive from 9.00 am for registration.

Getting There:
Regular buses run to Lawrence Hill from Bristol City Centre. The school is just a few minutes from Lawrence Hill Train Station. There is also a free carpark at the venue.
